I would double or triple this because we love the onions in so many things. This is a really easy way to make them because you just load all the ingredients into the crock pot and let them cook for about 24 hours. Allow to cool and then put into freezer container or freezer bags and put them into the freezer. Next time you need some caramelized onions you don’t have to stand at the stove for what feels like forever to make them. Vidalia onions make the best sweet caramelized onions but I have used all kinds and they are all very good.
