Garden BedsPredator Proof Strawberries

Predator Proof Strawberries

See how to predator proof  strawberries in your garden.  If you have ever grown strawberries then you know that everything hunts them down and eats them.

The rabbits, birds, squirrels and even lose dogs will occasionally eat them. I have planted them over and over yet it seems all I ever have are strawberry plants because something or many somethings always beat me to the berries.

I have had some success with Painted Pebbles to Keep Birds Away but that doesn’t work for the other strawberry thieves. Gardening Jones has come up with a strawberry bed with a screened lid to keep all the predators out but let in water and sunlight.

Predator Proof Strawberries

The lids are attached to the garden boxes with hinges so you can just fold it back to pick your berries. This is a neat idea and looks like it would work really well at keeping the critters out of the strawberry patch so we can have some of the berries.
