Great how to on taking an old wood stove and adding channels to create enough mass to heat and hold the heat with only one firing of the wood stove per day. After they built the mass channels these folks were even able to grow tomatoes and peppers in the winter time. The basically took the fire box and glass door of the old wood stove and built the channels so the heat from the stove instead of going straight up and out the chimney had to travel and heat the channels and the mass around them. Then they held the heat all throughout the day until the stove was fired up again the next day. This is a very neat and unusual way to heat the greenhouse and have fresh produce all winter. Permaculture U.K. Shares the instructions on how they built it.
