Nourish your dry thirsty winter skin with this body butter. You can almost hear your skin say Ahhhh.
Luscious Pink Grapefruit Scented Body Butter.
1 cup mango butter – you can use shea butter instead if you have that on hand. I just like mango because of its antioxidants.
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup almond oil
1 tablespoons vitamin E oil
10 drops essential oil, I like pink grapefruit but you can use your favorite.
In a saucepan over low heat melt the mango and coconut till liquefied.
Once everything is liquid remove from heat and pour in the almond oil, vitamin E and essential oil. Stir together.
Put it in the fridge for an hour or so. you want it to harden some but not completely because you will be mixing it.
Once it has thickened up good then you can put it in the blender or use an immersion blender to whip it into butter. If you are having problems getting your butter to whip it is probably not cold enough.
It needs to be cold to whip but not so cold that it is too hard. You need it to be a little firmer than room temperature butter.
Scoop into jars and you now have a about 2 cups of lucious body butter for your dry thirsty winter skin.
