Baked Beans Recipe

This baked beans recipe is the perfect one to make as a side to your Easter ham. We love baked beans with cloves and molasses in them. I usually make them when ever we have ham but they are really good with burgers and just about any bbq meal.

Baked Beans Recipe

I know a lot of baked bean recipes call for baking dried beans and this recipe from Add A Pinch calls for canned navy beans. I have always and will always use canned pork and beans as my starter because they add much more flavor to the finished baked beans. These turn out so good, even little kids like them and call them candy beans. They go really well as a side to hot dogs so you can make them in the summer or winter. I usually double this recipe and bake them in my big iron skillet.

We don’t mind them left over and there are never any left to throw out because in a couple of days we will finnish them off. Add A Pinch calls them the best southern baked beans but I am no where near the south and have been making these for years and years but who knows maybe I got the recipe from a southerner or a southern magazine, I sure don’t remember where I learned to make them but I know we all love them.
