I found a cute Pie Press Cutters Set and use each different press mold to create different shapes. I just pressed the pie cutter on rolled out dough creating a bunch of individual pieces. I listed a few sets at the end of this post for you.
You can use your favorite pie crust recipe or buy pre made pie crust if your in a rush.
You can use your favorite canned pie filling as well.
This is what the rolled out dough looked like after pressing out all the individual shapes.
The pie cutter mold does not need to be greased – they just pop out easily.
I then sliced dough into strips.
Then I picked up a strip and twisted it 3 times then pressing the strips on the edge of the pie crust.
I added multiple strips across the pie.
I added individual shapes and added a small amount of egg whites wash on the dough shape if I added a second shape… layering.
I added a egg white only wash to the top of the dough only.
This is the golden brown crust when baked. .
