Refreshing Watermelon Agua Fresca Drink Recipe

Watermelons have been a staple for summertime get togethers and picnics for generations. The tasty treat is normally eaten directly from the rind and seeds are disposed of (spit out) right on the ground. Another way to enjoy your watermelon on a hot, summer day would be to serve an ice cold beverage made from a seedless watermelon.

One of those perfect, ice cold beverages made from a watermelon and a few other ingredients is the Watermelon Agua Fresca. It would really go well with a Mexican themed meal. By adding a little light rum and triple sec, you would have a great little spiked cocktail.

Just prepare a large pitcher according to the recipe and bring it to your next picnic and watch everyone enjoy its wonderful flavor. Then you can spice it up later for the adult guests to enjoy in the evening.
