Add cuffs and matching pocket patch to extend life of short pants. This is a real money saver, especially if you have a child that seems to grow continuously. I buy a lot of clothing for the grand kids and there is one grand son that I think untill he got to be about 6 years old we would no sooner finally get all of the pants he had outgrown replaced and he would outgrow them again.

I never had another child or grand child that grew so fast. This idea here would have helped so much. I could have added the cuffs and pocket patch and caught a little break between shopping trips. Jeans, even for kids are pricey so why not extend the wear they get out of them with some cool fabric and a little bit of your time. Adding the applique to a pocket makes them look pretty cool as well so I don’t think the kids would have any problem wearing these jeans.
If they have a favorite character you could make the cuffs and patch with fabric that has that character on it. If the pants get a hole in the knee you can fix that with a monster patch. So between the cute knee patch and adding to the length of the pants your child should probably be able to wear the pants out instead of growing out of them and having to replace them. Even if you can pass them on after all of the life extenders at least you will feel you really got your money’s worth out of them.
