Delicious Bird Nest Cake Recipe

This bird nest cake recipe is made up of carrot cake with milk chocolate buttercream frosting. It is pure melt in your mouth deliciousness, this cake is good for any season but perfect for holiday gathering.

Ingredients:

2 cups of unbleached flour

2 teaspoons of baking powder

1 teaspoon of baking soda

3/4 teaspoon of salt

2 teaspoons of cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg

3/4 cup of white sugar

3/4 cup of packed brown sugar

3 eggs

1 1/2 cups of vegetable oil

2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract

2 cups of grated carrots

1 cup of crushed pineapple

1/2 cup of chopped pecans (optional)

Using a piping bag, make small little buttercream frosting twigs to create a nest appearance.
