How To Build Your Own Swedish Mora Clock For Under 100 Dollars

Learn how to build your own modern Swedish Mora clock in this tutorial. According to Wikipedia Mora Clocks  “are a type of longcase clock which were made in, and derived their name from, the town of Mora in Dalarna province, Sweden. Production began in the late 18th century and continued through most of the 19th finally succumbing to the increased competition from newer styles and cheaper mass production methods.” and they have a picture of one that is absolutely beautiful and dates from 1834 Here. In the tutorial by Justin on Remodelaholic he used a wall clock for the face of the clock he built. His looks super nice and I really love the bright yellow color they chose. What a neat project to spend time on making and then to be able to make a wall of you home beautiful and proudly display your own Mora clock. I think someone could probably make and sell these for an income.
