My Blessed Life website shares great tips for having a successful money making yard sale with pre planning and strategies that gets items sold. It takes time to gather items, clean them, clearly mark with price tags, find tables to place items upon, possibly getting family & friends to join your yard sale, find a busy location, make tons of street signs, create shorter hours and start early.
Here is a tips that worked so well at my last sale:

Have all the people working the sale wear the same colored t shirts with with a sticker saying “Can I help ? – Yard Sale Worker”.

Sew up money belt aprons for each yard sale worker.

Start your yard sale bank with at least $100 in $1 dollar bills, $100 in $5 dollar bills and $100 in 20$ dollar bills…. you will be amazed at how much change you will need.

Blow up brightly colored balloons and tie them evenly spaced on a string. Wrap the string around stop signs, attach to signs… anything to draw the eye.
What will you buy with the money once you have sold the clutter from your house ? Food storage, homesteading tools… ?
