This bacon jalapeno deviled eggs recipe is by far one of the most delicious and easiest to make of all appetizing finger foods. So many of us homesteaders are always trying to find interesting ways to use that over abundance of freshly laid chicken eggs.
Gather these ingredients:
large eggs, hard boiled and peeled
jalapenos, seeded and chopped
bacon, cooked, crisp, and crumbled
The slowly cooked bacon adds a crisp element while the jalapeno give it just the right amount of kick…. yummy.
To make a perfect hard boiled egg:
Place eggs in a large saucepan. Cover them with cool water by 1 inch. Slowly bring water to a boil over medium heat; when the water has reached a boil, cover and remove from heat. Let sit 12 minutes.
Transfer eggs to a colander; place under cool running water to stop the cooking. Eggs can be peeled and served immediately.
