DIY 3 Foot Tall Entrance Planter

If you would like to make a statement at your front door check out this diy 3 foot tall entrance planter. I love the nautical look with the rope. If you have a lot of space on either side of the door you could make matching planters for each side. It look gorgeous with the fern in it but I think it would be equally stunning with trailing flowers like blue Lobelia that drape over and look like they are spilling out of containers or rock gardens.

You can see how to make this and get instructions on how to finish it for outdoor use from Cherished Bliss.  These would even be nice on a deck or patio and if you could find a dish pan or a container of the right size you could make one as a bird bath and enjoy the birds on your deck or patio. It looks really easy to build and since they are three feet tall they would really show up nice from the curb.
