Turn Wasted Space To Storage Space In Your Attic

Turn wasted space to storage space in your attic. This is a neat storage system to use in between the trusses in the ceiling of your attic. They will hold totes and other containers to really help clear the clutter and allow you to find what you are looking for.

By labeling the totes well you should be able to walk over to the shelves and pick up the tote you need with no searching or shifting everything around while searching.

I Heart Organizing shares this info from 7th House On The Left. You will see how to make great labels to put on your totes that are made from card stock covered in laminate sheets to keep them clean.

You will also see how the label is not only the main category of what is stored in the tote but how all items inside  are listed under the category so if you are for example looking for the Christmas star to put on the tree.

You only need to find the tote titled Christmas and then under item look for star. So much easier than opening 5 or more boxes or totes marked Christmas to find that star.

The shelving in the picture is from a company called Attic Max and they provide a link to purchase it but I know many of our readers are diy folks and can make their own just from looking at the pictures.
